Stafford/FFELP Loans (Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans) Program

The federal government pays the interest on subsidized loans while you're in school as well as during deferment and grace periods. You're responsible for the interest on unsubsidized loans. To better understand the differences, look at the following factsheets and applications.
